When I brought the DVD player the guy who was on the counter advised me not to play too many mp3 CD/DVD's in the system. He reasoned that because of short durations the DVD reader may skip files or it may end up having shortened life. I don't know whether there is any truth in that. Have you heard anything like that?
It isn't something I've heard before, but, who knows? The guy may have a point. Thing is that players aren't that expensive anymore so if it wears out, you go buy a new one.
That's correct. I also heard it for the first time. Sometimes there people speak not from updated knowledge. As DVD's have precision technology I don't think anything like that is possible.
