Just was wondering if anyone was planning on getting a Zune? I think the product looks pretty promising. But I am one of those people that likes to wait and see the reveiws from people that have actually bought one. Curious to see how it goes over.

It's pretty typical of Microsoft that Zune doesn't integrate with MSN's existing music download service.

I think it's fair to say they're potentially shooting themselves in the foot here, by ignoring their existing subscriber base like this.

What I don't get is that I had read somewhere where they are going to let anyone who downloaded songs previously from Itunes get the same songs for free for the Zune. Now if that is the case why wouldn't they let you download from the MSN music site? Don't make sense to me.

No, it is not for free. I wish it was. It is basically along the same lines as an IPod but has some different features. Hopefully I can get one soon.

The Zune is an MP3 player and is most assuredly not free.

I don't plan on getting one. First generation models are plagued with problems and Microsoft's bungling of their store program (the confusing points model, etc.) isn't a good sign.

I really have no plans of getting one right away. I like to wait awhile and see what everyone else thinks of them before I purchase one.

Checked out one that a friend happened to receive, and while it was nice, I decided it's not something I plan to race out and buy either. I'll wait a while longer.

I've seen a lot of zunes at different stores, I however am still waiting to get some good reviews on it first, either that or a price break after it's been out a little longer
