Default war of the televisions

With all the improvements in technology, why haven't we thought of declaring war on this? Instead of people going to battle and risk bloodshed, why don't countries just fight in terms of technological competence?

That's a nice sentiment, but I don't think it will ever happen. We've had technology races before, and while its nice for moralle, I very much doubt that a country would give up their teritorries because another country has a higher resolution of TV broadcast

Well we have done this before and then when we find a technology we end up selling it of to another country. But I agree it would should beat a what we know as war now.

As long as you have competition you will have these problems. Remember the betamax vx the vhs war? Now you have duelling dvd formats.

I'm starting to think that nothing is ever really new anymore, it's always just someone trying to be better than someone else at their own game...or invention.

You're right it is just tweaking something and rereleasing it. People are always looking for the newest and the greatest. I guess that's what keeps these people in business.

I have a feeling that sometime in the next 5 or 10 years, someone will come up with something so amazing it changes history. I have no idea what it is, but I hope it proves extremely beneficial!

You are absolutely right, someone somewhere will come along with something better. We just have to wait for when it is better and affordable.

You got it. There is nothing new. Just someone trying to outdo the other one. I mean and plus alot of things that are seeming new to us now have been out for a long time somewhere else.
