Default HDTV Question

I see where alot of the stations are going to be broadcasted in HDTV here soon. I was just wondering if you don't have this how is it going to affect the picture on your tv? Thanks

By 2009, all broadcast will be digital instead of analogue. Viewers will either have to puchase a converter for their sets or get a new set. The good news is that all sets sold as of March 2007 will be atleast HD ready.

Thank you, I did not know when it was going to happen. Glad to see there will be a convertor. But hope to have an Hd tv by then. Thanks again.

Thank you for the link. I will have to check it out. To be honest I don't know all that much about this HDTV and what it is even supposed to be better about it?

Thanks for the link. There are lot of information on HDTV. I think it's the sporting events which are just fascinating on a HDTV. May be I am a soccer fan, but watching your favourite team playing on a HDTV is just a great experience.

Something else that is interesting - you can pick up some HD programming using the old "rabbit ear" antennas. Other wise, you will have to subscribe to HDTV programming in order to get that crisp picture.

I notice here on cable that almost all of the same stations I get are also available on hi-def with different numbers. Next set!
