Default Re: DVD Players that play AVI files?

Just buy an DVD-Player with DivX and MPEG4. Don't buy any other Player. The shops try to sell you the old Players for very good prices. DivX+MPEG4 means that you can play nearly everything on your DVD-Player what you copy from your Computer. You don't need to convert the Files anymore.

DivX is the most used compression for AVI files. MPEG4 comes more and more, but DivX is better in Quality. While I am writing this is DivX 6.2 the latest version. You can download for free from the Internet the Converter program. It converts slow but good quality. The freeware version put at thebegin of the movie the DivX logo in the right corner for around 2 seconds. After it the logo fades out.
