Default Insomnia

Is anyone here experienced insomnia? That's my problem for a couple of nights already, because I can't sleep for the exact time. Can you help me out my sleepless nights? What's the major cause of this?

I find that when I am stressed out I have a heck of a time getting to sleep. The one thing I have found that sometimes will help is a hot bath and then I turn on the TV and force myself to close my eyes and just listen to the TV. Sometimes that will help me fall asleep. I find that if it is completely quiet that I just cannot seem to shut my brain down. I go over and over things that may be bothering me. I hope this might help.

I agree with you I think a hot bath works very well. I do that all the time and it seems to work. I all so read when I can not sleep that all so seems to help me.

Thank you guys, hot bathing really works for me. I really feel relaxed and even feel asleep right after having it.

i read from somewhere that you must establish a routine minutes before bedtime. besides having a nice hot bath, you may also drink a glass of milk or read a few pages of a book. any routine which sends a signal to your brain that it's time for bed.

Yeah I establish a new routine now before going to bed. I used to comb my hair several times until I really fell asleep. It works. Because sometimes I feel tired of taking a hot bath.

Default Insomnia

I have a friend who claims she has insomnia. How do you know that it really is insomnia and not just a simple or other sleeping disorder?

Try reading something really boring. This will tire your mind instead of stimulating it.

Default Re: More questions regarding insomnia...

I think the only way to know for sure if it is insomnia is to see a doctor.
