I'm a tough cookie so I've been taking Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra tea with a melatonin supplement as well as magnesium since I heard it puts you to sleep.
I guarantee it, I'm very tired now and it's only 9:52 PM! haha

So I went to the doctor and told him I think I have insomnia and he says "Really? Don't loose any sleep over it."

Haha! Very cute. Well, I think the Sleepytime Time and the melatonin supplement has been helping get on a better schedule of sleep, but now on nights when I can sleep without help, I have too much to do!

On a more serious vein you have to be careful with melatonin. It is a chemical hormone we produce when sleeping. There is a possiblity of the over the counter product becoming addictive.

I bet you about died when your doctor said that to you. I would have. I will have to try the Sleepytime tea. Have never tried that and I love a good cup of tea.

I have chronic pain, so insomnia and I are well acquainted. I sleep for a little while, and then the pain wakes me so I have to shift, so I usually get 3 to 4 hours a night if I am lucky.

You brought up another reason why I have a hard time sleeping. I get back pains from doing stock at work and if it's not my lower back it's my lower leg area. Blah!!!
