Default Technological Advancements

Technology has benefited us a lot. But do you think all the developments are that necessary or essential to our daily living?

I don't think so. These products may seem to make our lives easier but, in fact, we can still live and survive without them.

No I don't think all developments are necessary at all. But I do think the developments in the medical field are necessary. But as for the stuff that we use everyday at home they just make our life easier.

There is no technology that is essential to our daily living and in that respect I have to say no. There are technologies that have become important to certain aspects of our society, but while they are greatly coveted, they are still luxuries and aren't essential in any way. We will only come to truly rely on technology when we start to augment ourselves with it, and it starts becoming more a part of us, as human beings.

You know, I really have to stop hitting the edit button instead of the quote button. That's the second time. Sorry Aicram.

The only things I think I would still need in life are a heating system (I get cold too easily, and need to cook raw food) and refrigeration for my perishable food. I wouldn't need light, because I would naturally get that in the day time.
I certainly don't have to have a tv, computer, or phone.

But, all I can say is that I am grateful we have got these things and we should enjoy them while we have them, but really should not forget how to live simply...

I think it is a case of some good, some bad. It depends on your perspective.
