Unfortunately for me, I don't think its a wise move in general. Not only are DVD technology and DVD prices cheaper, but they're also more effective. It
would be better to invest in the new technology then to dive into the bulky world of lazer discs.
The draw? For me I think its the "antiquity"(ish) factor. Heck, my family still has a Commadore 64 packed away somewhere.

Pointless, useless and collecting dust. Maybe its nostolgia? Or perhaps its just the pack rat in me. lol

I still have a VHS collection, though it's by default. And I'm also in the conversion process.
I find it interesting how we're embracing the better technology even though its still not the end all be all format. Oooh, format wars... blue ray vs HD. I digress.
