been too long out of school I guess. I was just talking to a good friend of mine who is a doctor, and he has to take one last verbal test based on some book for his certification. I asked him if he thought when he got out of med school he thought he was done with having to read and maybe they could get him a book on tape.

The dvd movies I buy are usually kids' movies, family-member favorites, or educational stuff like The History Channel's various serial offerings.

We just started using Netflix for movies. Usually I will buy the kids' movies just because they watch them repeatedly, over and over again . The netflix movies are pretty much just grownup movies or movies I'm not sure the kids will like so we quickly preview them. So glad we Netflixed Doogal, the preview looked good enough. Iit was such a horrible movie, but the characters were soo cute, what a shame.

Do you get to choose what comes next with Netflix or are the movies sent randomly off your list?

You can adjust how the movies are ordered in your queue, unless a movie is out of stock, in which case you are sent your second choice. I'm always switching the order around depending on my mood.

Thanks. I had been under the impression that they picked randomly out of your queue.

Good to hear; I'm planning to open a Netflix account very soon, so all the info I can get is helpful.

Honestly, I've found that it's better for me to just buy them from the bargain bin because although Blockbuster has changed their late fee to a restocking fee, I'm still always paying that so by the time I rent and pay fees, I may as well have bought a bargain bin one. Target has good deals, too

I buy my movies, I have a problem getting them back to the rental place on time - which I then incur a lot of late fees and well it's just not worth it. I have thought about netflix - but my mailman routinely loses our mail so I figure not such a good idea - I have received neighbours netflix envelopes before though...good neighbour that I am however, I always return them

I've been really tempted to start renting recently, especially using a system such as Amazon. Too often I'm tempted to buy cheap DVD's which are maybe worth watching once, then afterwards, never again.
