Does it not seem that the DVD's are coming out sooner and sooner? I mean that means that the movies are not staying in theatres as long so I wonder how that will effect the theatres in the end profitwise?

I did start to notice that myself. I used to want the DVDs to come out sooner but now I can't keep up with them and/or afford them! I think that may be why movie tickets and food costs so much!

All it does is make room for other movies to come out thats all. It's not really a big deal because all I do is go and buy the movie and move on. But most of the time it means that the movie isn't or hasn't done too well at the theaters.

Oh, I didn't think of it that way. I suppose there have been a lot of new movies out, but I never get the chance to go to the theater anyway. People are too busy, which is why I find this very odd but makes sense.

well the dvd manufactures have to keep up with the fact that company's like sky ect can buy the rights to show the film on box office even quicker now so they need to get the dvds out before every one sees the film

That makes sense that they do have to try to compete with other forms of entertainment now like sky. Never really thought of it that way.

I hadn't heard about any of this! But it's good to know. Some of us don't have time to make it out to the theaters and wait in those long lines!
