Default Shrek 3

Did anyone see this movie this weekend? I am taking the boys to see it next weekend. I was just wondering how it was? I loved the first two movies.

I am hearing mixed reviews on this. I liked the first one, second one was okay. I wonder how often they can keep it up...third times the charm?

I think they have a third one in them. I find that animated movies seem to do pretty good when they have sequels. At least I think so.

I don't know if it's just me but ever since they started spitting out a Land Before Time sequels every week and others followed the trend, it just ruined the whole novelty for me. Does well with the kids I guess.

I didn't expect it to bump off Spidey 3 with that large an openning. Next week will tell if the movie has staying power.

I was actually surprised that it bumped Spiderman 3 also. I hear you about The Land Before Time Movies. There are a ton of them now and they have gotten old.

There's always a story to be told and kids move up in age as the next generation moves in. Look at Spiderman. There will be another cartoon series next fall starting from the beginning.

I hate to say it, but do you think they're dragging out the Spiderman legacy a little too much? Or is it just some sort of conspiracy to take over the world?

They do the movie then release a cartoon. The FF cartoon sucks. With Batman the new cartoon came out first. And poor Supes they cancelled the cartoon JLU he was still in. Go figure.

I'm wondering when we'll get a new slew of superheroes. Not to say we should kill off all the old ones, but they're not making things seem nostalgic in my opinion, sort of wearing thin the patriotism and courage that used to be associated with them and now they're more of a novelty. That's my opinion though, I don't really care because I wasn't into them but I rather enjoy the older stuff.
