I hope you went for the rechargable batteries ...there were some extra good deals right before Christmas. I bought another charger which came with free batteries (duracells) and it was under $10!

I think the "life" of such products are meant to deteriorate after a certain period of time.My cell phone's battery used to last for five days, but now, it can only stay charged for one day.
