I actually just got one of those radios that i can pull out of my car and dock in my stereo now and it is awesome. I always have the satellite radio on now.
I like to download songs if I only have one song I want from an album or if I want to see what a certain artist is like. Quite often, I will end up downloading one or two songs from the artist and then going and buying a CD. It depends how much I like the downloaded songs. For me, downloading is a great way to try out different artists without having to form over the money for a whole CD.
That's a good point, historyclass ...one thing I've learned is that with new artists especially, there's one or two great songs per album and the rest aren't so good. It's nice not to buy them all.
Downloading has changed things. I remember when I was younger and owned thousands of CDs, often I would buy a CD with only one song I liked. Just imagine all the money I could have saved if I could have just bought one song at a time.
Yes, it probably would have! Downloading has also been such a boom for amateur djs. I have a friend who does dj work parttime ...mostly for local kid groups, and being able to download has really enabled him to give them the music they want ..instantly!
I prefer to download music than to buy CD's. Becuase I haven't find a perfect CD. I mean a CD that only contains all my favorites. So i'd rather download my fav music rather than wasting money to CD's which I can't have it with all my fav in 1 CD.
I think that downloading songs also gives you a great chance to find new artists because you're more likely to pay to download one song from an artist you haven't heard before, than you are to go out and buy a CD.
That's a good point. I used to get stuck with albums I didn't like more than one or two songs on because it was a new artist. Now there's a choice ...which is really nice.
