American Idol singers?

I was just wondering if anyone on here thought that Kelly Clarksen or Carrie Underwood were really talanted? I have bought both of there CD's and I have to say that they really do seem to have talant. A lot of people seem to think that just because they won on the show that they are not really talented or don't deserve the fame they have gotten. How do you all feel about this?

I actually think they are both very talented singers. I am glad to see someone that has talent that might not otherwise get noticed win. I say good for them.

I absolutely love Kelly Clarkson!
Her voice is amazing and it just goes to show these T.V programmes are good at what they do!
Never the less I still hate Simon Cowell!

I seen on the news the other night that a lot of the established singers think that they did not pay their dues to have come so far so fast. The thing that gets me would anyone of them turned down a chance like this when they were out trying to make it big? I don't think so.

oh i definitely love both of them!! i have their songs in my ipaq and i never get tired of listening to them almost everyday. i downloaded christmas songs in early november and 2 of my favorites happen to be kelly clarkson's oh holy night and my grown-up christmas list.

I both have their songs on my PC, and their voice is really nice. And if you also know Fantasia, she is also a good singer

I think they are both talented. But - there are a lot of talented people out there that don't have the benefit of having a full time vocal teacher and the practice of performing in front of a crowd.

I think Kelly Clarkson deserved to win. She has a great vice and she knows how to handl her career.

I had the fortune to see Kelly Clarkson live last year, and I think she is very talented. I don't normally think much of talent show contestants - especially not things like the X Factor. I've not seen American Idol to know what Kelly Clarkson was up against - do those who have seen it think someone else would have been a more deserving winner?
