Default Battery?

Is anyone finding problems with the battery display of their iPod?

Mine goes to red in aobut 10 minutes, then will stay on red for a couple of days.

Very annoying, because you never know when it will go dead.

which Ipod do you have? I have the video, and before I play something, the bar would be green, and then after I play something, it turns red, but then goes back to green the next time I turn it on.

Hmm. If it is intermittent like that, something is wrong with your iPod. If it is always burning down fast then the battery has gone bad.

One of my friends reccomends that you just drain the battery entirely and then recharge it. Sometimes that helps.

yeah, I've heard if you don't charge them properly the first time you get them the battery's only capable of accepting whatever juice you first charged. That sounds too simple for me - don't know if I buy it.

I can buy it having had it happen with other electronics. When they say charge it for 24 hours before using, they mean it lol.
