Doers anyone know when and if the new video iPods will be getting an iTrip. I wish the generations 4 stuff would have been compatiable but oh well.

Have you ever had much luck with iTrip? I gave up on it after a couple of weeks.. it's a pain to be driving around with it, and then all of a sudden get into an area where the radio channel you picked isn't good anymore... then you have to go through a process to reset the thing all over to another station.

That's the only flaw I've seen with iTrip. It's a beatch to change the transmission channel...

I think they have a newer unit out that allows you to change channels on the iTrip itself, without using your PC..

the new i trips for the G5's have a little turn wheel style lever on the right side that changes the station ans it has a small display on the front that shows the station it is transmitting. It is also avaliable in black to match the black iPods.

the itrip is a waste of money. Youre better off going to pep boys and picking up one of them cassettes with the wire on it. Thats what i have, and it works like a charm. The only reason you would ever want to use an iTrip is if you have the ipod like all the way in the last row of your car. It seems kind of senseless to make a wireless transmitter for something 5 inches away.
