Re: Problems with Plasma and LCD TV's
We have a Mitsubishi 62" DLP in our living room and Samsung 50"/42" plasma tvs in the game room and bedroom respectively. The DLP has a great picture, and I know you can replace the bulb when it burns out - not cheap, but definitely cheaper than the TV. The picture quality, good as it is, still doesn't compare to the quality on our plasmas. Even our analog channels look decent, and the HD channels look amazing. We did a lot of research before we bought our plasmas, and Samsung says it will last 60,000 hours of use - that's about 83 months of 24 hour usage - about 7 years. And that's all day every day, most people just don't watch that much TV. I would do some more current research on plasmas before you take advice that says they won't last - it's obviously very outdated.
